Removing the sound card driver is required either if the device does not work correctly, or when it is reinstalled. Uninstallation can be done in different ways.

Step 1
If you uninstall the driver due to the incorrect operation of the audio system, make sure that the breakdown lies precisely in the software. To do this, use another speaker to reproduce sound, such as headphones. Also try playing the audio file on a different media player. Also make sure that the sound card is properly connected to the correct connector on the motherboard and is in working order.
Step 2
Find your sound card driver in the list of installed programs by opening the Add / Remove Programs menu in the control panel of your computer. Write down its name. You will need this in the future not only to delete the folders created by the program, but also to search for other software to replace.
Step 3
Perform uninstallation in the current menu, and if the system prompts you to select an uninstall option, select complete. This will remove all custom sound card driver settings.
Step 4
Restart your computer. Open the Program Files directory on your local drive. Find in the list the folder with the name of your device driver that you copied. Also, the folder can be named according to the manufacturer's name. Delete all of its contents.
Step 5
If you have a sound card built into the motherboard, find its driver in the installation and uninstallation menu. Usually, after it there is a list of the software of those devices that are integrated into it, there should also be the driver you need. Click on uninstall it and also select the method of uninstalling the program.
Step 6
Just in case, create a system restore checkpoint before making such changes to your computer. Also do this before installing a new driver.
