The Windows 7 operating system creates hidden partitions on the hard drive during its installation. This section is not labeled as a letter and does not appear in System Explorer. It is designed to protect the system boot files, contains the system boot loader and special configuration files. You can see this section in the Computer Management window.
Instructions
Step 1
A hidden partition is created when the operating system is installed, and a number of conditions must be met to create it.
The operating system must be installed from external media. When you run the installer from under Windows, it will be impossible to work with hard disk partitions.
Step 2
The hidden partition is created as the main partition of the hard disk, so before installing Windows, there should be no more than three main partitions, otherwise the files of the hidden partition will be written to one of the existing main partitions (not necessarily the one into which Windows is installed). In this case, the installation must be performed in the first partition of the disk.
Step 3
To create a hidden partition, you must delete and recreate the partition into which the operating system will be installed (simply formatting it will have no effect).
