Step 1
Get a microphone with good sound sensitivity. If your computer already has a built-in microphone, it is quite possible that it may not be enough for speech recognition and its further translation into a printed form. There are a lot of programs for converting speech, but they are all demanding on the equipment used, especially for Russian speech. It is also necessary that your sound card is best suited for speech perception.
Step 2
It is advisable to enable echo and extraneous noise suppression in the general microphone settings. Of course, recognition in this case will not be ideal either, but its quality will noticeably improve.

Download a program to convert your voice to typed speech. Most of these utilities work on a paid basis, and if you need a program that converts Russian speech, try using "Diktograf" or "Gorynych". This is one of the few programs capable of recognizing Russian speech for further conversion into text form in a more or less acceptable quality. In addition, they practically do not load the system, having minimal requirements for the computer configuration. Their big minus is in a relatively small vocabulary. In comparison with foreign counterparts that recognize, for example, English speech, domestic developers are still at the initial level. If you need to recognize English speech, you will have much more choice.
Step 4
Install the program on your computer after purchasing it; register, if necessary, familiarize yourself with its interface; download updates if possible. After that, connect the microphone, configure the equipment in the "Sounds and Audio Devices" menu in the control panel, disable additional effects in the sound card parameters.
