Download Master is a popular utility for downloading from the Internet, which allows you to download various files in several streams at the maximum speed available to your Internet channel and computer. To make the program work as efficiently as possible, you need to make the appropriate settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the Download Master window and go to the options located on the "Service" - "Settings" tab. Also, to make settings, you can use the icon in the program toolbar.
Step 2
To maximize your speed, select your connection type in the "Connection" section. For example, if you are using a telephone modem or GPRS data channel, set the Dialup parameter. If using 3G, also select the appropriate item. To connect and download via a local network, select the T1 / LAN option. If you are connected to a high-speed internet network, choose 10 Mb DSL / Cable / Other.
Step 3
In the "Speed" section, specify the "Maximum" value. This will allocate the maximum amount of your network resources for the program in the system. After that go to the subsection "HTTP / FTP Settings". There you can check the box next to "Receive automatically from IE" in the User-Agent field.
Step 4
Go to the "Downloads" settings section on the left side of the menu. In the line "Maximum number of sections per one download" enter the value 8. Settings for obtaining the maximum possible download speed of files are completed. Save your changes and restart the program.
Step 5
The speed of downloading files in the program directly depends on the capabilities of your Internet channel and its bandwidth. The download speed can be affected by the simultaneous use of other utilities with the Download Master that take traffic from the Internet. For example, do not run any torrent or P2P client at the same time as the program if you want to get the best download speed. In some cases, the download speed may be limited by the data source itself. It depends on the restrictions imposed on the file transfer speed by the site from which the download is made.
