In pursuit of new products in the digital industry, one should not forget that technology is chosen not only by price range, but also by other parameters. For example, when choosing a monitor, you should rely not only on the diagonal and HDMI outputs, but also on other indicators of the monitor that would have a minimal negative effect on human eyes.
Instructions
Step 1
The main parameter when choosing a monitor is the screen frequency. The higher the maximum value of this parameter, the better, respectively. For monitors with a cathode ray tube, values of 60-70 Hz are considered extremely low, in which case, vision can quickly deteriorate. If we equate the same frequencies, but with modern liquid crystal monitors, these values are quite acceptable.
Step 2
Any factor that you want to get rid of can be the cause of monitor flickering. In rare cases, this is a breakdown of the monitor device. Let the manufacturers of equipment promise that their product will serve throughout the entire warranty period, in reality it does not always work out that way. The fact is that in any production there is a percentage of manufacturing defects. Maybe your case turned out to be just that.
Step 3
In any case, whether it is a defect or not, only a specialist of the service center can find out. Another reason for flickering on the monitor may be a low refresh rate. As mentioned above, the number of hertz affects the perception of the image: a low screen scan value makes the eyes fatigue quickly.
Step 4
To change the scan value, you need to go to the settings of the video card and monitor. If you are working in the Windows XP operating system, right-click on an empty space on the desktop, select Properties from the context menu.
Step 5
You will see a window in which you should go to the "Parameters" tab, then click the "Advanced" button.
Step 6
In the window that opens, go to the "Monitor" tab. Change the value of the line "Screen refresh rate", it is desirable to set the maximum value, but not less than 60 Hz. Then click OK twice.
Step 7
If you are working in the Windows 7 operating system, right-click on an empty space on the desktop, select "Screen resolution" in the context menu.
Step 8
In the window that opens, click the "Advanced settings" link and set the value in the "Screen refresh rate" line.
