Burning a disc for a car radio is a fairly simple process if you have an idea of the technical characteristics of this radio. This information will help you choose the most correct type of recording music information on a disc.

Step 1
Determine the specifications of your car radio. They can be found in the operating instructions for the device. Depending on the model and capabilities of the radio, various types of recording music files to disc are possible. Also, the file formats readable by the radio device, their quality, the maximum possible size of the recorded files may differ.
Step 2
If your car radio has the ability to read only audio discs, then the choice of methods for recording audio files to a disc is rather scanty for you. In this case, only such an amount of audio data can be recorded on one disc, at which the total duration of all songs will not exceed a certain time. Typically this limit is about 72 minutes.
Step 3
Use a blank CD / R disc to burn CD-audio. You can use either the standard Windows recording application or third-party programs such as Nero Express. In order to record, you need to insert a disc into the drive and go to the directory of this disc in "My Computer". Copy the required files to this directory. Please note that the total temporary space must not exceed the limit indicated on the blank disc box. Having copied the files, in this explorer window, click on the button for recording an audio CD. Next, you will be prompted to rename files, sort them, and rename the disk itself. The recording wizard will then guide you through the process.

If the car radio supports reading the mp3 format, then your possibilities are much wider. The fact is that most audio data, today, is distributed in this format. Thus, you do not have to convert files, and also be limited by the maximum allowed length of the tracks on the disc. Files of this format can be written to disk in the maximum size if you need it. Since CD / R discs have a maximum size of 702 MB, the total size of audio files should not exceed this limit.
Step 5
Insert the CD / R-disc into the drive and open the folder of this disc on the computer. Copy all the required music files to the disc folder. Keep track of the full size of the files. Next, click on the button to write data to disk. In this case, you will not be offered the settings that are used for recording an audio CD, because during such recording, mp3 files are interpreted as ordinary data that does not have the label "musical" or "audio".
