When going on a trip by car, many car enthusiasts face the question of connecting a laptop to a 12-volt car outlet. Since the power consumption of the laptop is low, it can be safely connected to the power system of any vehicle using auxiliary equipment.
Instructions
Step 1
In almost any major home and computer store, you can find laptop adapters that allow you to use a 12-volt car outlet (or cigarette lighter) as power for your mobile computer. Such adapters are of two types: universal and designed for laptops of a particular brand. By plugging such an adapter into a car outlet or cigarette lighter, you get full power for your laptop.
Step 2
In addition to the adapters mentioned, you can use auto inverters, which are sold both in computer stores and in automobiles. The autoinverter also plugs into a car outlet or cigarette lighter, but outputs a full 220-volt outlet. In addition to a laptop, you can connect low-power household appliances (as a rule, no more than 300 W), for example, a small TV or mini-refrigerator, into it. Some manufacturers produce auto-inverters in the original form factor, which allows the device to be installed in a car's cup holder.
