Probably, there are no users who have never heard the term "Virtual Disk". Nowadays, many files are distributed in the virtual disk format. It is a copy of a regular physical medium. You can also create images from different files.

Instructions
Step 1
There are quite a few different virtual disk formats out there. The most common ones are ISO and MDS. It is not necessary to know all of them. Any program for working with virtual disks supports almost all formats.
Step 2
First you need to install a program with which you will be working with virtual disks. One of the most convenient and popular programs is called Alcohol 120%. Download it from the Internet and install it on your computer. After installation, restart your PC.
Step 3
Run the program. After the first launch, it will create a virtual drive. This will take some time. By default, one virtual disk drive is created. But if necessary, their number can be increased.
Step 4
The program is often used to open virtual disks. To do this, in the main menu of the program, click on "Search for images". Select the hard disk partition that contains the virtual disks. After the program finds images, add them to the Alcohol menu. Now you will see that the list of images is displayed in the right window of the program.
Step 5
Click on the required virtual media with the right mouse button. Then select "Mount" in the context menu. In a few seconds, the disk image will be mounted to the virtual drive. Go to "My Computer". There you will see that another drive has appeared in the list of devices. Now you can view the contents of the virtual disk.
Step 6
If you need to write an image to a physical disk, you can do it like this. Insert a blank disc into your computer's drive. In the program menu, select Burn CD / DVD from image. Next, specify the path to the virtual disk that you want to burn. Click Next. In the next window, check the box next to the "Record" line and click "Start". The disc burning procedure begins. When finished, simply remove the disc from the drive tray.
