For the computer to work correctly, in addition to the operating system, you need to install drivers and additional applications that perform certain operations with files. This process is performed by a special package manager, which is in the list of standard programs.

Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer. Take a disc with a program or driver written on it, insert it into the drive. In most cases, discs with software have an autorun function, of course, this is relevant only if you have not disabled it earlier in the operating system startup properties.
Step 2
In the software installation wizard that opens, read the license terms, perform the actions required for further correct operation.
Step 3
If the automatic installation start window does not appear, open the contents of the disc through "My Computer". Next, find the program installation file, usually it has the.exe extension, install the program according to the requirements of the menu that appears. This sequence is also relevant if the software is recorded on any kind of storage medium.
Step 4
If you need to install a driver for a specific device without accompanying software, then select the "Hardware Installation" item in the "Control Panel" menu. Follow the prompts from the system.
Step 5
If you have new driver versions available, select the option to install from the specified location. If you do not have the necessary software, or it is outdated, allow the installation wizard to connect to the network to subsequently search for and install new versions of drivers on your computer.
Step 6
Use the Add or Remove Programs menu located in the Control Panel. Select the "Install Programs" tab and in the window that appears, click on the installation icon either from the media or from the Microsoft site.
Step 7
Follow the further instructions in the dialog box. Many programs and drivers offer a system reboot at the end of the installation process. You can select the "Restart later" item, if there is one, but in this case, the correct operation of the system before starting it using the new parameters is not guaranteed.
