Clipboard is an area of random access memory (abbreviated - RAM), which is intended for temporary placement of any data when transferring it from one place to another. In Microsoft Office, the clipboard can be enabled, that is, you can customize its display and use it as a separate tool.

Step 1
Information gets to the clipboard when the user calls the "Copy" or "Cut" commands. A piece of text or an image in the clipboard is usually called an object. Then, when the clipboard is hidden, only the object that was copied last is inserted into Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel documents.
Step 2
However, the clipboard can store up to twenty-four objects at a time. Each object can be called at any time and inserted into the edited document. To expand the possibilities of working with the clipboard, make it visible.
Step 3
To do this, open a Microsoft Office Word or Microsoft Office Excel document and go to the Home tab. In the "Clipboard" section, click on the arrow button. The view of your document will change: the work area will move to the right, and the "Clipboard" panel will appear on the left side of the document, where you can select the object of interest.
Step 4
To insert an object from the clipboard, move the mouse cursor to the desired fragment and click on it with the left mouse button. If you want to paste all the data in the clipboard, click on the "Paste All" button. To remove objects from the clipboard, use the "Clear All" button.
Step 5
There is another option for actions: to insert the desired object, move the cursor to it and press the right mouse button. From the drop-down menu, select the "Paste" command by clicking on it with the left mouse button. If you need to delete an object from the clipboard, select the "Delete" command from the drop-down menu.
Step 6
Notice the Options button at the bottom of the Clipboard panel. With its help you can configure the parameters of the "Clipboard" display and its properties. Mark with a marker those positions that will help make your work in the editor more comfortable.
Step 7
To hide the Clipboard panel, click the arrow button in the Clipboard section on the Home tab again, or use the [x] icon located in the upper right corner of the Clipboard panel.
