A laptop can be found in almost every home, but not everyone handles this valuable technology so that it can work long enough without problems. What can a layman do for his laptop to make it live longer?
Do not forget that the laptop belongs to a portable technique, which means that the ventilation system is worsened to miniaturize the device. That is, a laptop can overheat much easier than a regular computer system unit. To avoid overheating and, consequently, damage to the laptop, you should install it only on hard surfaces where ventilation openings will not be blocked. However, the proximity of the radiator can also severely damage your laptop.
Do not eat or drink while using your laptop. Even a few crumbs or drops that get inside, in an unfortunate coincidence, can be very harmful.
Be careful when opening and closing the lid of the laptop, when carrying it even from room to room, and even more so over long distances. There are models with very fragile cases, and the best thing that can happen to them is the plastic cracking of the case, which can prevent it from opening and closing. In the worst case, cracked plastic can damage some kind of ribbon or wire. By the way, some laptop models have poorly designed moving parts, so that a large number of openings and closings leads to chafing of wires and loops.
Do not forget that electronic equipment brought from frost must be left unplugged for some time so that its temperature equilibrates with the ambient temperature.
Take care of the battery according to the instruction manual, otherwise it may need to be replaced very soon.
Be careful with your laptop and it can last for years. Remember, prevention is easier and more profitable than “cure” in this case too.
