Step 1
To change the background color of any directory in the Windows XP operating system, the Folder Fon program is used. It is easy to use and it will take you about 5 minutes to master it. Before you start working with this program, you need to download the distribution kit and install it. This utility is widespread on the Internet, so use any search engine to find a link to the archive with this program.
Step 2
The most popular at the moment are the search engines Yandex and Google. Take advantage of any of them. Open a browser and on the search engine page, type Folder Fon, then press Enter. By clicking on the link to the page, download this program.

Now you can install it. Installation of this utility is quite simple: just run it and constantly press the "Next" button. In the summary window, click the Finish button.

After starting the program, the main window will appear in front of you. In this window, you can specify the path to the folder whose background you want to change. But you don't have to start the program, in the context menu of any folder there is already a line Folder Fon. To open the context menu of a folder, right-click on it. In the context menu that appears, select FolderFon, then Set or Edit Folder Background.
Step 5
The program will automatically start and the address will be added in the main window to the folder you want to change. Click the "Open Picture" button and add any image that might fit the given folder.
Step 6
Depending on the image, the font color may become completely unreadable, so click the Font Color button to change it. The final touch in this work will be pressing the "Save settings" button. Now open the folder that you modified, the image loaded into the program should be displayed instead of a white background.
Step 7
With this program it is possible to change the color of any folder, use the "Folder color" button, which is located next to the "Font color" button.
