Step 1
Trying to protect the internal hard drive by manipulating the BIOS is simply useless. The password will be set, but the only person who will be protected from opening the hard drive is yourself. Such passwords can be easily and effortlessly reset by jumpers, or the HDD is connected to another computer, on which it will open it and give full access to all information.
Step 2
Therefore, to set a password on the hard drive, download the Cryptainer Mobile program (available for download at cypherix.com), which we install on the hard drive itself. The program is a container where you put all the necessary files. You get access to them only after entering the correct password. Advantages of the program: there is no need to install the program on the server. Installation is done on the HDD itself. The program resembles a WinRAR type system, but without compression.
Step 3
The second option is the Strong Disc Pro script, available for download from the link https://library.mnwhost.ru/doc/crypt.php (the very first of the presented programs). The script is simple to use, as well as the absence of passwords. To do this, you will need to create a separate electronic drive, which will store the keys. When the time comes to use the hard drive, you will need to activate the Strong Disc Pro installed on it, insert it into the USB port, after which the activation will be confirmed. Removing the drive will lead to session termination and console blocking.
