The blocking of the selected Internet site in the Mozilla Firefox browser can be carried out by the user using the specialized BlockSite plugin, which is included in the set of proposed extensions.
Instructions
Step 1
Specialized plugin BlockSite is designed to create lists of Internet pages, access to which is denied by the application. In order to download and install the required extension, call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item. Launch Mozilla Firefox browser and type https://addons.mozilla.org.ru/firefox/addon/3145 in the address bar. Confirm the transition to the selected page by pressing the Enter function key and click the Continue to Download button in the window that opens.
Step 2
Use the Add to Firefox command in the new dialog and wait for the Install Now button to appear in the next window. Click this button and wait for the next Add-ons dialog box to open. Use the "Restart Firefox" command and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Restart" button in the final dialog box to apply the changes made.
Step 3
Open the "Tools" menu of the upper service panel of the browser window and select the "Add-ons" item. Find the installed BlockSite plugin in the list of the extension window that opens and select it. Click the "Settings" button and check out the possible options for the plug-in: - Enable Blocksite - activate blocking of websites; - Enable warning messages - display a warning about an attempt to go to a prohibited site; - Enable link removal - exclude links to blocked pages when viewing content websites; - Blacklist - list of prohibited sites; - Whitelist - list of allowed sites; - Authentication - create a personal user password.
Step 4
Apply the checkboxes in the Enable BlockSite and Blacklist lines and click the Add button. Enter the address of the website to be blocked in the BlockSite Preferences dialog box that opens and confirm the saving of the changes by clicking the OK button. Repeat the same procedure for all unwanted sites.
