Windows XP provides its users with the ability to create accounts. Thanks to this, several people can work on one computer, while each account is, as it were, a personal account. Thus, it is possible to restrict access of unauthorized persons to important information, as well as to prevent actions on their part that may adversely affect the performance of special programs or the entire operating system.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to create a computer administrator, left-click on the "Start" button, then go to the "Control Panel" tab. You will see a list of software functions of the Windows XP operating system, among which find and click on the icon "System User Accounts".
Step 2
A working window of this section will open in front of you. You must go to the line "Create an account" and then enter the name of the new account. Now check the box next to the "Computer Administrator" article. At this stage, the account is set up. In this case, you can change the name, select an avatar, create and later, if necessary, change the password. In this menu, you can also change the status of the account or delete it altogether.
Step 3
Create a password that only you will know. At the same time, it should be easy to remember and incomprehensible to others. In the field to confirm the password, enter it again. You may not create protection, but this is fraught with the fact that each user will be able to log in under an administrator account.
Step 4
When the operating system is loaded, the name and image of the account with the signature "Administrator" are displayed. Click on the picture and enter the password in the pop-up window. In the same way, you can log in to "User Accounts" and create a view of the account with disabilities.
