Installing computer games usually does not require special knowledge and skills. Feel free to insert the game disc into the DVD-ROM or download the image, and then start installing the game. You won't damage anything, and you can even uninstall the game after installation if you don't like it.
Instructions
Step 1
There are tens of thousands of computer games in the gaming industry, ranging from small logic and flash games to massive complex online games and series of shooters and races. Most games are distributed under a paid license. Their installations are somewhat different from each other, however, the basic steps of installing the game on a computer comply with the accepted standards of Microsoft Windows.
Earlier, in the eighties and nineties of the XX century, installing games was a whole procedure: all operations for copying files, entering keys into the registry, creating shortcuts had to be done manually. But today, computer games with thousands of file archives are compiled into one installation file.
To run the installation file, insert the disc into the CD / DVD-ROM and click “Run Disc / Install”. If the game was downloaded from the Internet, start it by double-clicking the left mouse button. The installation file is usually named Setup.exe, Install.exe, or by the name of the game, for example Counter-Strike.exe.
Step 2
The "Installation Wizard" will appear on the screen. Usually, the first information that appears in its window is a greeting, brief information about the game, developers and license agreement. Sometimes you need to check the box next to “I agree with the license agreement and accept it”, or it’s just the “Agree” button. After reading and accepting the license agreement, you need to click the "Next" button (the English equivalent is "Next").
Next, a window will appear that asks you to indicate your name and / or the name of the organization, where you can enter any data.
Step 3
The third window will be the window for the location of the root directory of the game. In other words, the computer will ask you where to install the game. Usually, this path is “C: / Program Files”. In this folder, all programs and games are functioning properly and it is recommended to install them in this directory, but if the hard disk “C:” is full, you can click the “Browse” button and select another hard disk to install the software. Click "Next" again.
Step 4
The next window usually offers to create a shortcut on the toolbar and desktop. Select the desired shortcuts and click "Next".
After that, we see the fifth window with the process of installing the game in the form of a line, scale or percentage. After installation, the game sometimes prompts you to start when you click "Finish", this checkbox can be removed.
