No PC or laptop user is immune from the appearance of a BSoD error (blue screen of death). But there is good news - this operating system error, in most cases, is quite easy to fix.

Step 1
To successfully remove the blue screen, you must be able to correctly read the information contained in its text. Most often, this error appears due to damage or deletion of a system file. It can also be important hardware driver files.
Step 2
First, restart your computer. It is possible that after this the BSoD error will not appear at all. If this malfunction reoccurs, then study the contents of the text located below the Technical Information line.
Step 3
Usually, it is there that the files are listed, the absence or damage of which caused this error. Reboot your computer. Press the F8 key. A list of possible boot options will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4
Select "Windows Safe Mode". Wait for the download of Safe Mode to complete. If you cannot fix or restore damaged files on your own, then use the system recovery functions.
Step 5
Open the control panel and go to the "System and Security" menu. Open the "Backup and Restore" item. Click on the item "Restore system parameters or computer".
Step 6
Run System Restore. To do this, go to the "Show other restore points" menu and select a checkpoint from the options offered by the system. Restart your computer normally.
Step 7
Sometimes the information contained in the BSoD text contains more extensive data. For example, if the files ati2dvag or atikmpag.sys are faulty, then most likely the problem is in the video card drivers. In this case, start the OS in safe mode and reinstall the drivers for your video adapter.
Step 8
Sometimes the appearance of this error can be associated with a failure or overheating of a device. In this case, you will have to replace the defective part.
