There are quite a few ways to prevent the laptop from turning on. Each of them differs from the other in the element that must be addressed to eliminate the possibility of turning on the computer.
Basic ways
Decide what kind of ways to eliminate the inclusion of a laptop suits you best. In this regard, there are two main types: technical and software. Technical methods are aimed at working with a change in the connection of laptop aggregates. In this case, you have to work with your hands, and the laptop will seem completely defective. Software tools are usually based on changing the parameters of the laptop boot process. This can be due to both changes in the operating system boot, and prevention of devices from booting in the BIOS settings.
Technical means
If you need your laptop to appear completely "dead", then the easiest and most effective way is to turn off the power circuit. This means you will have to unplug the power plug on the motherboard. However, this method is dangerous if you are not very well versed in the intricacies of connecting computer elements and you have no experience in opening a laptop.
The simpler technical methods are to disable the power button of the laptop or disable items such as the hard drive or RAM. Disabling the button will allow you to mask the operation done as much as possible, but it is not always possible to get close enough to the connection point of the button to disable it. The hard disk and RAM stick are usually in plain sight.
Remove the back case of the laptop using a curly screwdriver. Do not use excessive force if any part of the case cannot be removed. Try to unscrew all screws and carefully remove the cover. After removing the laptop cover, you will immediately notice that you have access to the hard drive, RAM, as well as the cooling fan (cooler) connection. Disabling any of these items will prevent the system from working.
Software
Use a software tool to disable bootability of your laptop if you don't want to get inside your computer. Turn on the laptop and at the very beginning of its boot press the F2 key. A window with BIOS settings will appear. Going to the Boot tab, you can see a list of devices loaded by the processor when the laptop is turned on. Devices in the list are arranged in the order they were loaded. To prevent the loading of the operating system from starting, select the item in the list with the name of the hard disk. Press the Enter key. A list of devices will appear. Select any other device from the list or, if possible, an empty item. Press the F10 key to save the settings and reboot. Now your laptop will stop booting almost immediately after turning it on due to the inability to use the hard drive.
