Step 1
There are several rules for reinstalling the operating system. The first thing that should definitely be taken into account is that during the correct installation of the OS, the system disk is formatted and all information is deleted. Since the "My Documents" folder is located on the system drive by default, therefore, information from it will also be deleted. Before proceeding directly to reinstalling the operating system, you need to transfer information from the system disk to any other partition of the hard drive.

You will also need a bootable operating system disk. When you copy the necessary information, and you have a disk with the OS available, you can proceed to reinstall it.

There are several ways to start reinstalling. Some users start doing this from the desktop. This is not quite the right way and it is better not to use it. It is preferable to proceed with the reinstallation using the BOOT menu. Before starting, the operating system disc must already be in the computer's drive.

First you need to get into the BOOT menu. To do this, immediately after turning on the computer on the initial screen, you need to press the F8 key, although there may be other alternatives to this key. On many modern motherboard models, the initial screen contains information about which keys you need to use to enter the BIOS and BOOT menu.
Step 5
When you go to the BOOT menu, select your optical drive and press the Enter key. After a few seconds the message PRESS ANY KEY will appear, which means "press any key". This is what needs to be done. The installation process of the operating system begins. This process may differ depending on the OS version. But with the help of the wizard's prompts, it will be easy to install the operating system. You just need to select the required installation options.
