It is necessary
Windows miniPE edition or ERD Commander programs
Instructions
Step 1
Check your password hint. If this does not help to restore the forgotten password in memory, try logging in to the system using the Administrator account. However, in this case, the computer must be included in the local network. Open the "User Accounts" tab via "Start" and "Control Panel". Select a username, perform "Reset password". Then create a new password, or leave the field blank.
Step 2
Reset the password of a computer that is not included in the public network using a different scheme. Press F8 while booting your computer. Select Safe Mode from the Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu. Download the built-in Administrator account. After loading the Desktop, enter through the "Start" and "Control Panel" in the "User Accounts" tab. In the "Change password" item, enter and confirm a new password, or leave the field blank. Reboot your computer.
Step 3
In case of failure, use rescue bootable disks - Windows miniPE edition or ERD Commander. The first one contains a stripped-down version of Windows XP, the second is a bootable rescue disk. Boot the Windows miniPE edition disk after you have marked boot from CD-ROM in BIOS. After launch, press the miniPE button, enter Programs, then System Tools, then Password Renew. Select Select Windows Folder, and in the Browse for Folder window, designate the location of the Windows folder. Fix Renew existing user password. In the Account list, specify an account, and in the New Password field, write a new password. Confirm it in the Confirm Password item. Execute Install. The information window will display the message “Password Renew for NTs is successfuly done!”. Press the Reboot button in miniPE. Reboot the computer already from the hard drive. Load ERD Commander in the same way through BIOS. Click Skip Network Configuration. In the Welcome to ERD Commander window, specify the operating system to restore. Select Start, go to System Tools, select the Locksmith Wizard tab, install Next. Next, in the Account list, specify the account, and in the New Password field, write a new password and confirm in Confirm Password. Restart your computer.
