It is often not so easy to find out the model of this or that laptop, because documents, packaging, sales receipts are lost. However, there are other ways to find out the exact model name of your device.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the packaging from your Asus laptop and pay attention to the product labeling. Usually a sticker with it is located on the side of the box, the corresponding information should be written on it. It can also be found in the warranty service documents or sales receipt.
Step 2
Turn the laptop over and check if there is a sticker on the back cover with information about it, usually it is located above the license sticker of the operating system, if there is one. It is also useful to check the battery compartment. Very often, the model of the motherboard is also written on such stickers.
Step 3
If there are no stickers left on your laptop for some reason, try looking at the hardware configuration information for your computer. To do this, open the system properties by right-clicking on the free area of the "My Computer" menu, a small window with several tabs will appear on your screen. Go to the one called Hardware.
Step 4
Open the device manager by clicking the corresponding button. Review the equipment available in it, rewrite the name of the motherboard, video adapter, models of some other devices that are in the configuration upon purchase. Open the first tab and overwrite the processor frequency and the amount of RAM.
Step 5
Open a browser, enter the name of the manufacturer of your laptop, the model name of some devices and the parameters of the processor and RAM in the search bar. In the search results, try to select those that will help identify your particular model.
Step 6
Try to look at the official Asus website for the laptop models that were on sale at the time of your purchase, choose your own among them, having previously compared the technical characteristics in the properties of the computer.
