Step 1
Start the process of restarting the computer, during which press the function key F8. In the menu of operating system boot options that appears, select the "Safe Mode" option and use an unprotected password account with administrator rights.

Confirm your choice in the active system request window and activate the main menu by clicking the "Start" button. Open Control Panel and select the User Accounts option. Specify the account you want to edit and go to the command directory to the item "Change password".
Step 3
Ignore the system suggested action in the "Change the password for username" account and remove the protection. If you decide to change your password, enter a new code word and confirm your choice. For the changes you made to take effect, close running applications and restart your computer.
Step 4
Return to the Start menu and select Run from the command line. Set the cmd value in the "Open" field and click "OK". Enter control userpasswords2 in the command interpreter field and confirm your choice.
Step 5
In the dialog box that opens, select the account to be edited and uncheck the box next to the "Require username and password" option. If you decide to change the code word, activate the "Change password" option in the "User password" group. Set new security symbols and click "OK".
Step 6
From the Start menu, select Run, and in the active text line of the command interpreter, specify the value exit. Press the "Enter" function key and exit the Windows Command Prompt. Apply your chosen changes and restart your computer. Log in with the new administrator password.
