Instructions

Step 1

There are several ways to restore the language bar to the taskbar. The first, and the easiest, is to reboot the operating system. Sometimes, for example, due to incorrect installation of the program or due to viruses, errors may occur in the system; after a reboot, the panel may return to its place.

Step 2

If the restart did not help, right-click on the taskbar, then the top item "Toolbars". Check if the "Language bar" checkbox is checked. If not, put it on.

Step 3

If the item "Language bar" is missing. Click on "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Regional and Language Options". Select the "Languages" tab, on it click the "Details" button. Then, on the Options tab, find the Language Bar button. If it is active (you can click on it), click and check the box "Display the language bar on the desktop." Then "Apply" - "Ok".

Step 4

If the language bar still does not appear, repeat the second step again. Then restart your computer and do step 2 again.

Step 5

If in the third step the "Language bar" button was inactive (it could not be pressed). Go to "Control Panel" - "Regional and Language Options", open the "Languages" tab, click the "Details" button and select the "Advanced" tab. Check if the checkbox next to "Turn off additional text services" is checked. If so, uncheck this box. Now you can reopen the "Options" tab, on which the "Language bar" button has become active, and go through the third step again.

Step 6

After all the steps, reboot again. The language bar should now appear. If still not, go to step two again.

Step 7

If you want the language bar to always be displayed on the taskbar, right-click on the taskbar, select "Properties" - the "Configure" button. In the Current Items list, find the Ru or En icon. Click on it. Select Always Display, then click OK.
