Any software has a given (calculated) percentage of failures, these are technical nuances that simply cannot be eliminated by modern programming methods. The largest percentage belongs to Vista software. This does not mean that Vista is worse, for example, "Seven", but you need to be prepared for its surprises!
Instructions
Step 1
The first case. The system boots, but some files are corrupted. You, of course, do not know which ones, but you know when the misfortune happened. It is very good if you have set a restore point. Then we simply restore our operating system using the appropriate console. The path looks like this "Start - All Programs - Maintenance -" Backup and Restore Center. Here you select the date of restoration, of course the closest to today. If you did not set such a return point, try anyway, since the system creates them automatically, without your participation.
Step 2
The second case. You need to restore the system by saving all the files. This is possible if you have a bootable disk. If the disk is lost, but there is a box from it, it is enough to download the operating system, and then enter the key (of course, the license key). Unfortunately, most vendors do not provide a disc. You can try to contact them for a disk, or at least for an image.
Step 3
In some cases, the system will be reinstalled in the same place. But in this case, not only data will be saved, but also all errors.
Step 4
You can advise before restoring the system to save all the data to some external medium (disk, USB flash drive, etc.), and only then return the system to the factory state.
In any case, if the operating system is licensed, you can contact the service center for help, and if not, install it.
