With rare exceptions, pages of Internet sites, text and PDF documents, and other files are viewed on a standard screen without horizontal scrolling. In other cases, the user can zoom out on the image. There are several ways to do this, depending on the file type.
Instructions
Step 1
The universal way is to press the “Ctrl” button and scroll the mouse wheel towards you (“down”). On a laptop, if you do not have a mouse, use the vertical scroll line instead of the wheel.
Step 2
In a number of text files, the scale control is located in the lower right corner (a segment, on the one hand a minus sign, on the other a plus sign). Move the cursor over the slider and, while holding the left mouse button, move it towards the minus side.
Step 3
In PDF viewers and some other applications, the scale bar is at the top, roughly in the middle. Move the slider towards the minus side, or enter a lower number in the number field than the original number.
Step 4
Scrolling of the scale can also be vertical. In such cases, move the slider down, again towards the minus side.
