Modern music centers have high-quality acoustics. Instead of buying expensive speakers for your computer, you can connect the hub through a standard line-out on your sound card. This will help you get good sound with minimal hardware investment.

Instructions
Step 1
First, make sure the music center has AUX. To do this, find the corresponding button among the available modes on the remote control, or see if the center has two jacks of different colors on the rear panel (usually yellow and red).
Step 2
Go to a hardware or radio store and purchase the appropriate cable. Purchase a 3.5mm extension cord if needed.
Step 3
Connect the cable to your computer through the line-out jack (usually the center green hole on your sound card). Insert the other two plugs into the AUX hole.
Step 4
Turn on the center and select the AUX mode, make all the appropriate sound settings. In the sound card driver dialog box, define the device as "Speakers" or "Subwoofer". Test the sound.
Step 5
If the sound does not play, run the utility to control the sound driver (its name depends on the model of the sound card). Check the necessary settings yourself and try to reconnect the cable, check the connections.
Step 6
If the music center has a video playback function, then the kit must include a cable that connects to the video card via the S-Video output. For best quality, use an S-Video-2RCA cable. If the connector does not fit, then for connection you can use the adapter to RCA, which is supplied with any video card. After installing it, you can use the RCA-2RCA cord.
