Step 1

In Firefox, bookmarks can be exported (saved to your hard drive) or imported (loaded into the browser). To import bookmarks, click the top menu "Bookmarks", select the item "Show all bookmarks" in the list that opens, or press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + B. You will see the "Library" window.

Step 2

To export bookmarks, click the top menu "Import and Backup", in the list that opens, select the item "Export to HTML". In the dialog box that opens, enter the name of the html file with bookmarks, select a folder to save and click the "Save" button. It is worth noting that bookmarks that were in any folder of bookmarks (in the browser) are subject to saving, unbound bookmarks will remain unsaved.

Step 3

To import bookmarks, click the top menu "Import and Backup", in the list that opens, select "Import from HTML". In the dialog box that opens, select the "From html file" option and click the "Next" button. In the new window, find the exported bookmarks and click the "Open" button.

Step 4

In the Opera browser, bookmarks can also be saved through the top menu "Bookmark", click it and select the item "Manage bookmarks". Click the File button and select Export as HTML. Select a folder, enter a file name and click the Save button. If bookmarks are imported for another browser, for example, Internet Explorer, to open bookmarks, open the "Import and export bookmarks" applet (menu "File", item "Import and export", then "Import favorites") and specify the file with bookmarks.

Step 5

For the Google Chrome browser, the system for copying bookmarks is slightly different. Click on the browser menu (image of a wrench), select "Bookmark Manager". In the window that opens, select "Tools", then the item "Export bookmarks".

Step 6

There is a special folder for Internet Explorer browser bookmarks, so it is enough to copy the contents of this folder. The folder is located at C: Documents and settings User Favorites.
