Step 1
If you do not have a CD with drivers, you will have to look for them on the manufacturer's website. On the body of the printer there is always information about the company that released it and about which model this printer is. Use search engines to find the manufacturer's website. On this site you need to find your model in the sections "user support", "file archive", "download". After you have found your model, you will need to select the system for which you are downloading the driver. After choosing it, download the program offered by the manufacturer. It should be noted that often the drivers that you can find on the sites are released later than the drivers that came with the equipment upon purchase. This allows the manufacturer to fix some bugs from previous versions, use more modern printing technologies, increase speed, and make new drivers more informative. Always, if possible, download updated drivers from the manufacturer's websites.
Step 2
Now that you have a program, or a CD, start the installation either by double-clicking on the downloaded file, or by simply inserting the disc into the drive. The installer will ask you to select a folder where its files will be installed. Most often, there is no need to change the path where it is installed by default. When the program asks to connect your printer, plug it into your computer's USB port and turn it on. The installation will continue automatically.
Step 3
Sometimes after installing the drivers, you need to restart your computer. Do this if the installer asks you to.
