Sometimes, no matter how good the speaker system is in the apartment, desire or circumstances force us to play with headphones. However, there are some features that are important to consider when doing this.

Step 1
Use earpads to play. It is best to select them so that the ear fits completely into the round earpiece. This approach has several goals at once: firstly, a fully-fitting shape will not cause pain in the auricle after a while. Secondly, this will allow to completely "preserve" the sound inside, and it will not interfere with hissing and crackling around the room.
Step 2
Connect headphones to the speaker if possible. The human ear is designed in such a way that it almost doesn't matter where you get the bass from. Thus, by connecting the earphone to the subwoofer, you will maintain full sound quality. However, take care that the subwoofer does not interfere with those in the room.
Step 3
Adjust the microphone sensitivity before playing. This can be done both through the standard configuration tools (Windows volume panel), and through the Realtek audio drivers, which will also help to add various filters and effects to the voice. If the voice volume is still low, try moving the microphone closer to your mouth or at chin level. Also, the reason may be that somewhere inside the headphones there are poor-quality wires that spoil the signal or move away from the plug connected to the computer (minijack).
Step 4
Do not set the volume to maximum. Using headphones at maximum volume not only can damage your auditory nerve and reduce sensitivity, but it can significantly shorten the device's lifespan. It begins to wheeze, does not transmit all shades of tones and generally sounds much worse: therefore, it is recommended to use 60-70 percent of the volume.
Step 5
Configure the sound output as "headphones" inside the game (or in Windows). This will allow you to correctly distribute the stereo effect: if you specify a different speaker system, the sound will be delivered according to slightly different principles and some of them risk being simply lost.
