To increase the amount of laptop memory, you need to install an additional module in a free slot. It is located on the motherboard, mostly on the bottom, but also on the top.

Step 1
Slot on top.
The battery must be removed first. Next, you need to partially remove the keyboard by sliding the top panel to the left. The keyboard leans back and the ribbon cable is disconnected from the motherboard. You will see a metal panel that is bolted down, they need to be unscrewed. You can now see two memory slots. One already has laptop memory, and in the second, you add the module you have chosen in advance. In the upper part of the slot there are metal clips, simultaneously push them to the left and right and the ruler will pop out 30 degrees and insert a new module - this is how memory is added when replacing an existing one.
Step 2
If the slot is empty, carefully install the module into the slot and pay attention to the key. This is a ledge in the connector. It must match the memory slot. Push the end of the module towards the connector, and it should gradually slide into it. Press all the way towards the laptop and make sure it snaps into place. Well, that's all the memory is added. Then everything is assembled in the reverse order. Be sure to remember to check your RAM using a special program. Better to use "memtest86". Turn on the laptop, install this program, then make sure that the amount of RAM available to the system is what is expected. Wait for the test to end. If you installed everything correctly, then the program will not give any errors, but if they are there and you do not know why, then turn off the laptop and take it to the service center.
Step 3
Bottom slot.
This way of adding memory is much easier. Also turn the laptop over and remove the battery. Unscrew all the bolts, at the moment there are 4 of them, lift the cover. Next, insert the module into a free slot in the same way as in the first case, put everything back together and also test the memory through the program.
Adding memory to a laptop is obviously not difficult at all.
