Instructions

Step 1

Start Microsoft Outlook. The initial program window will open. Click Next. In the next window, you will be asked to configure the program to connect to the email server. Check the box "Yes" and proceed further. In the window that appears after that, you can configure the settings for your account.

Step 2

In this window, enter your name, email address and password for your mailbox, and then proceed further. A network search for the server settings will begin. Wait for this procedure to complete. Even on a high-speed internet connection, the operation can take a little time. After completing the connection, you will have your own account, and you can configure the settings for the program.

Step 3

If you were unable to automatically configure the settings for the mail client, for example, a notification appeared that you should check the connection settings, then you need to configure the program manually. In the parameter entry window, check the "Manually configure server parameters" item. In the next window, check the "Internet e-mail" item.

Step 4

Enter your name on the top line. In the line "E-mail", respectively, enter the mail address. Do not change anything in the "Account Type" line. In the sections "Server of incoming and outgoing mail" you need to enter the address of your e-mail server. In the "User" line, enter the email address again, and in the "Password" line, respectively, enter the password.

Step 5

Then click on the "Other settings" button and go to the "Outgoing mail server" tab. Check the box next to the line "The SMTP server requires authentication" and check the box "Same as the server for incoming mail". Click OK. Then go ahead and click Finish. This completes the configuration process. Already in the system itself, you can configure additional parameters.
