Step 1
Find out your motherboard model and read its review online. Please note that increasing the voltage distributed to the USB ports of the computer is possible only in the latest models of motherboards and only if in the BIOS this parameter is set below the maximum.
Step 2
Never increase the USB voltage with non-standard tools or overclocking - you will simply ruin the south bridge of the motherboard or worse, the power supply or the entire computer.
Step 3
Open the BIOS settings and view the settings for distributing voltage to USB ports. If this option is possible, increase this parameter to the maximum possible and exit, saving the changes. If your motherboard does not support this function, you can replace it with a newer model, depending on how much you need it.
Step 4
To increase the power supplied to the USB ports, use special self-contained 5V power supplies, which are sold in computer stores in your city. For each USB port in your computer, a certain number of power units (500 mA) are allocated and this indicator cannot be changed either, as well as raising the USB voltage higher than possible - you will simply ruin the motherboard microcircuits.
Step 5
Use special adapters for connecting USB devices, this will help you keep the ports in your computer in good condition for longer. However, please note that for the ports to work at full capacity, these adapters and the cables you use must be of the appropriate quality, since various Chinese cords and non-original cables for connecting portable devices spoil the ports and reduce the data exchange rate.
