The MAC address is a unique code, the so-called identifier, that is stitched into any network equipment at the factory. This identifier is necessary for information to find its addressee within one network, and not to get to another address. Hiding your MAC address gives you online anonymity, which can tempt many internet travelers.
It is necessary

- - the Internet
- - programs
Instructions
Step 1
Open Device Manager. This utility can be opened through the "Control Panel" of the computer ("Start" menu), or through the properties of the shortcut "My Computer" - "Control" - "Device Manager". As practice shows, modern operating systems are so flexible that one and the same operation can be performed in dozens of different ways.
Step 2
Find "Network adapters" in the list of devices. This item will list all network adapters, including wireless ones. Find the entry corresponding to your network card - it can be identified by the word Ethernet if you do not know the exact model of the device. However, it should be noted that the name of the network connection mainly depends on the type of modem, so carefully read all the items in this menu. If you have an active Internet connection at the time of viewing, then one of the connections will say “Connected”.
Step 3
Click on the entry with the right mouse button and select "Properties". Click the Advanced tab of the Properties window. All parameters of the network card are listed here, and some options are available for editing. Find the "Network Address" entry in the Property list. The "Value" field will appear in the right part of the window, check the box opposite it. Enter the new value of the network card address and click "OK". Close Device Manager.
Step 4
Special programs such as SMAC, MACSpoof, Microsoft Virtual PC and others can hide the MAC address of a network card. Download any utility from softodrom.ru and install it on your hard drive. It should be taken into account that these actions change the program address of the network card, and not the one "wired" by the manufacturer. As a rule, such actions can harm a personal computer if used improperly, so carefully follow all menu items.
