The Internet has become an integral part of the life of a modern person. You can use a modem to access the Internet from a laptop outside the office or home. It is not difficult to connect a Megafon modem to a laptop, even a beginner can cope with this.
Megafon offers its subscribers 3G and 4G modems - devices of different generations, differing in transmission speed. The main advantage of connecting to the Internet via a modem is mobility. To use the Internet via a usb modem, you need to buy a SIM card, choose a suitable tariff and connect the device to your computer.
To connect the modem to the laptop, turn it on, wait for the operating system to load, and insert the device into the USB connector. The computer will automatically start installing the drivers. When they are installed, an inscription will appear on the screen, at the bottom right, notifying about this.
Next, you need to install the program "megaphone Internet". In the "autorun" window that appears on the display, click on the AutoRun item - the "Megaphone Modem installation wizard" will open. If the autorun window does not appear, go to "my computer", you will see "Megafon Modem CD drive", click on the icon, thereby launch the software installation. Select the desired language, put a tick in the box "I agree with the license agreement". After these simple manipulations, the installation of the program will begin, it will last 5-10 minutes.
After the installation of the program is completed, an icon with a megaphone icon will appear on the desktop. Click on it and run the program. To connect to the Internet, press the "connect" button, the blue light on the modem should light up. Open the settings and select the options you want.
When connecting to the Internet via a modem, the connection speed is not very high. There is a little trick - you can hang the modem on the window and connect it to the laptop using a USB extension cable for better picking up the cellular signal.
