If suddenly the font of a web page opened in a browser suddenly becomes too small, then there is no reason to despair yet. Most likely, this is not the result of a failure of any device in the computer or monitor, or a malfunction in the operating system. The most likely reason is that you accidentally pressed a combination of buttons on the keyboard, on the mouse, or both, which is assigned to the zoom out command in the browser. Returning normal page sizes, including font sizes, is not difficult.
Instructions
Step 1
Expand the "View" section in the browser menu, if this browser is Internet Explorer. In the Font Size subsection, select any of the five fixed scaling options.
Step 2
In the Opera browser, go to the menu in the "Page" section, and then in the subsection "Zoom". Choose one of the seven percentage scale options that are placed there. In addition, this subsection contains commands to decrease and increase the font sizes and all page content by ten percent and one hundred percent.
Step 3
In the Mozilla Firefox browser menu, open the "View" section and go to the "Zoom" subsection. If you need to increase only the font size, then check the box next to "Text only". In the same section, there are three more lines, one of which sets the normal (100%) font size, and the other two are for increasing and decreasing font sizes.
Step 4
If you are using the Google Chrome browser, click the icon with the image of a wrench in the upper right corner of the window and in the drop-down menu, click the plus sign next to the inscription "Scale" to increase the font size. The line for reducing the size (with a minus sign) is also in the menu.
Step 5
If you are using the Apple Safari browser, then open the "View" section in the menu and select "Change text scale only" if you want to enlarge only the font. In this section, to increase the size, use the item "Zoom in". The item "Zoom out" is also there.
Step 6
In any of the browsers listed, you can use the ctrl key combination with the plus key on the numeric keypad to increase font sizes. While holding down the ctrl key, you can also use the mouse wheel to change the font sizes.
