It is necessary

A computer with Adobe Photoshop installed, basic skills in the program, an image for the background, text

Instructions

Step 1

Open the required file or create a new one, which will be the background for your animated lettering. Make a duplicate of it - you will be working with it, and make the original layer invisible. To create a duplicate, you need to right-click on the desired layer in the "Layers" window and select the "Duplicate Layer" command.

Step 2

Write the required text and arrange it. Determine the font, size. For example, you can try different options by choosing the appropriate ones in the "Styles" window (in the same place as "Swatches").

Step 3

Rasterize the text so that you can work with it further. After this operation, it will no longer be possible to change the letters themselves, the font and other characteristics of the text. You can create duplicate layers and merge them temporarily to be on the safe side. But this option will require a lot of disk space and can be confusing for an inexperienced user. Therefore, it is better to decide right away. To rasterize, right-click on the desired layer in the "Layers" window and select the "Rasterize" operation.

Step 4

Create a clipping mask by right-clicking and choosing this command. In the same way, open the "Layer Blending Options" and choose the effects, relying on your imagination. For example, you can select Gradient, Color Overlay, Glow, Texture, and more. (left column in the window that opens).

Step 5

In Control Panel, open Window and select Animation. A "ribbon" with the first frame will appear at the bottom. The button in the bottom panel (next to the basket) adds frames. Add another frame and turn off any effect or several effects (in the layers window).

Step 6

Adjust the flicker frequency. To do this, click with the mouse under the frame to select the alternation of one frame to another.

Step 7

Save by clicking "Save For Web Devices" and choosing.gif"
