network cable
Instructions
Step 1
Connect to the desired router using a network cable. You can connect to a wireless network, but it is recommended that you set up such devices using a cable connection. Launch an Internet browser and go to the web-based interface of the router by entering its internal IP address.
Step 2
Find the LAN menu and go to Route Table. Examine the column names of the table that opens. Select the computer for which you want to set up redirection. In this case, you need to navigate by the IP address of the network adapter of this PC, which is connected to the router. Specify the source address of the server to which the selected computer will connect. In the next column, enter the IP address of the resource to which you want to redirect the user.
Step 3
Follow the same steps to configure additional routes. Save the Route Table menu settings and reboot the router. Check if the parameters are set correctly.
Step 4
If you need to configure redirection for a specific computer, having access to this PC, then use the method of editing a specific file. Open the "My Computer" menu and open the system partition of the disk. Go to the Windows folder and select the System32 directory. Now open the etc folder located in the drivers directory. Find the file called hosts and open it using Notepad.
Step 5
Delete all contents of this file. Enter the IP address of the resource to which you want to redirect the user. On the same line, enter the IP address or url of the source server. Now, when you try to connect to the second site, the browser will automatically redirect to the specified resource. Pay attention to the fact that the data in the url input field will not change.
