Sometimes two drives are required for fast recording and rewriting of discs. You can, of course, use special programs that allow you to create disk images, but this will significantly increase the time of the process.

Step 1
You may not need any additional hardware to connect two drives. Problems usually only arise if the drives have different ports to connect to the motherboard. Find out the types of these ports.
Step 2
Distinguish between IDE and SATA channels. The first connector has a wide ribbon cable for connection, so it is easy to distinguish them with the naked eye. Find out the types of ports present on the motherboard.
Step 3
Many motherboard models have mixed connection types, i.e. they contain both IDE and SATA ports. If you need to connect an IDE drive to a SATA channel, purchase a special adapter.
Step 4
You may need to purchase a three-port ribbon cable to connect a second drive. Attach one to the motherboard and the other two to the drives.
Step 5
After installing both drives, turn on the computer. Install the Nero Burning ROM program. Run this application.
Step 6
To copy the contents of one disc to another, open the Copy menu. Specify the purpose of each of the installed DVD drives.
Step 7
It is recommended to use this method only if you are sure of the high-quality operation of both drives. Otherwise, a large number of errors may occur during rewriting.
