The productive work of a computer depends on many of its components, the decisive one of which is the video card. If the video card does not work or junk, then you need to take a number of measures.
Diagnostics
A breakdown of a video card can most often be associated with its careless operation. To see the state of the video card, you need to disassemble the system unit and clean its insides of dust with a dry cloth and a vacuum cleaner (if there is a lot of dust). Then you need to consider the video card. Mechanical damage can be expressed in an inoperative cooling system, convex or leaking transistors, and an unpleasant burning smell. If there are no external signs of damage, then you will have to carry the video card to the service center for diagnostics.
The monitor and the connecting cables from it are subject to much greater wear and tear than the video card. Before reporting problems with a video card, you need to make sure that the monitor and cables are working properly. This can be done by pulling out and reinserting the ends of the cables in their original locations. If this does not lead to a positive result, then you can swap the cables from one computer to another. The same can be done with a monitor. If nothing has changed, then, most likely, the matter is really in the video card.
Repair and replacement
The performance check of a video card can be carried out, according to the law on consumer protection, up to two weeks, after which a decision will be made to replace, repair or return the video card to the buyer in connection with its serviceability. Repair can be carried out either under warranty (if the video card was purchased recently), or on a paid basis if the warranty period has expired. If the video card is working, then it will be returned to the buyer. The absence of a picture on the monitor, or its incorrect display is not always associated with the state of the video card.
Sale for spare parts
If the video card cannot be repaired and its warranty period has expired, you can try to sell it for parts. The price will be cheap, but it's still better than nothing. Various private service centers that do not depend on any stores or brands may be interested in such broken products. You can also disassemble the video card yourself, as spare fans, transistors, etc. are never superfluous.
It is not a fact that the failure of one service center to repair means a failure in another place. This can happen for various reasons: the reluctance of the masters to understand a difficult situation, the long-term ordering of spare parts, the lack of masters of the proper qualifications. It is necessary to visit several workshops, and most likely in one of them they will undertake to repair a broken video card.
