To find out if a program or game is compatible with a particular computer, you need to know the system requirements of the application and the specifications of the computer. Memory is responsible for the performance of programs and games.
Instructions
Step 1
There are several types of computer memory. The two most important of these are RAM and physical memory. To view the computer's RAM, also called RAM or RAM, you need to call the standard Windows program "Run". To do this, click the "Start" menu, select "All Programs" - "Accessories" and click on the shortcut of the "Run" program. The program will ask you to enter the name of a file, application or resource to open it. Enter the dxdiag letter combination in the Open field. Click “OK”. You just ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. It allows you to view the basic physical parameters of your computer or laptop. On the main tab under the name "System" find the column "Memory". This graph displays the amount of RAM in the computer. Every 1024 MB equals 1 GB. Next to the Memory line is the Paging File, which is the amount of virtual memory that you can configure.
Step 2
The second important computer memory is physical, in other words, the volume of the hard disk drive (HDD). The larger the hard disk, the more various programs, games and any other data can be recorded on it. To view the volume of the hard disk and its free part, go to "My Computer", find the drive (C:), right-click on it and select "Properties". You will see a diagram showing the used and free space on the hard disk, as well as the caption "Capacity", which shows the size of the entire hard disk.
By completing these two steps, you will learn all the characteristics of the computer associated with the memory setting.
