Counter Strike is one of the most famous online games. Functionally, it is quite simple, but at the same time it presents endless possibilities to users. This online shooter has gained popularity due to the fact that it allows any player to create their own server and invite other gamers there.
Instructions
Step 1
To play on a local network, you will need to install the No-Steam game client. Download the installation file from the Internet and install Counter Strike on your computer. After that, start the game and wait for it to load.
Step 2
In the menu that appears, click the New Game button to create your own server. In the window you will see a line for selecting the desired card for the game. From the list, click on the desired section, and then go to the Server tab.

This is where you can configure your server settings. You can change the spawn time of each player, choose the idle time for buying weapons for each team, specify the starting amount from which the battle begins. It is also possible to disable blinding grenades, set the maximum number of players, etc.
Step 4
Once the desired settings have been made, click Start at the bottom of the menu. Wait for the map to be created and then select your team. After that, you can invite any players from your local network. To access the game, they will only need to enter the connect your_IP_address: 27015 request in the command line and press Enter. The terminal for input is switched on using the ~ key of the keyboard. You can find out the IP address from your ISP or network administrator.
Step 5
To enable the ability to play over the Internet, open the console and enter the query sv_lan 0, and then press Enter. Then tell your IP to other players. You can find out the external IP-address using the corresponding IP-determination service on the Internet.
