Step 1
As a rule, laptop owners are faced with the need to find drivers. Desktop computers (desktops) are usually equipped with installation discs for the chipset and video card; such discs are rarely supplied with laptops. As long as the installed OS works normally, there are no problems. But if it becomes necessary to change or reinstall the operating system, the user has to look for the necessary drivers.
Step 2
To find the correct driver, you need to know the exact name of the video card. The program Aida64, also known as Everest, will help you with this. Start the program, in the left part of the window select "Computer" - "Summary information". Find the line with the name of the video adapter, it will look something like this: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (700 MB). Specific settings may vary on your computer. Click on the line with the right mouse button and select "Copy".
Step 3
Paste the copied line into the search box of Google or another search service and add "driver download" to it. You will get a request like "ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (700 MB) driver download". You will receive a number of links, from one of which you can probably find and download the driver you need. Please note that the driver must be compatible with your OS version. Please note that if you do not have an official version of the OS, but one of the "modified" assemblies, the drivers may not work. This is why it is best to always use the official version of the operating system.
Step 4
After downloading the driver, you need to install it. To do this, open the control panel, select in it the item "System" - "Hardware" - "Device Manager" - "Video adapters". Typically, a video card without drivers is marked with a yellow question mark or exclamation point. Click it with the mouse and select the driver installation item. During installation, specify the folder with the driver. Some drivers are supplied as an executable file, in this case, just run it, then restart your computer.
