Working in a text editor Microsoft Word (Word) provides great opportunities. Directly in the editor itself, you can make certain manipulations with the printed text. One of these actions is crossing out words.
Necessary
Computer, Microsoft Word program
Instructions
Step 1
In a text editor Microsoft Word, type the text you need.
Step 2
If there is no “abc Strikethrough” icon on the toolbar (it looks like three letters “abc” crossed out by a straight horizontal line near the middle of the letter height), then place the cursor on the blank field of the upper toolbar. Right-click and in the opened tool window select the "Settings …" section.
Step 3
In the settings window that opens, select the "Commands" section. In the left column "Categories:" find the category "Format". In the right column "Commands" there is a list of commands corresponding to this category "Format". Move the slider down until you find the "abc Strikethrough" icon.
Step 4
Place the cursor on the “abc Strikethrough” icon, left-click and hold it down, drag this icon onto the field of the upper toolbar to any place up to the “Toolbar Options” button.
Your toolbar now has a command icon that allows you to cross out letters, words, and signs.
Step 5
In your printed text, select the word to be crossed out. Highlight it. Click on the "abc Strikethrough" icon on the toolbar. Your word has been crossed out. It is not necessary to highlight the word to be crossed out. You can activate the strikethrough format on the toolbar by clicking on the icon with the left mouse button. Then print the text. This text will be printed already strikethrough. In the same way, by clicking on the strikethrough icon on the toolbar, the strikethrough mode is turned off. You continue to print normally without strikethrough.
