Win32 is one of those viruses that can be difficult to remove with regular antivirus software. This is due to the fact that it affects system components that cannot be changed. The Win32 virus starts its work as soon as the operating system starts up. You can remove this virus manually.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main menu of the operating system and launch the control panel. In the window that opens, select the Add or Remove Programs component. In the list of installed programs, find the entry "Trojan. Win32", select and remove this program. Removal is performed in the usual way, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. After completing the uninstallation of the program, restart your computer.
Step 2
Close all running programs. Stop the "Trojan. Win32" process by launching the "Task Manager" (by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys or by right-clicking on the taskbar). In the list of running processes, find and select the process you want to stop, then click the End Process button. Close Task Manager.
Step 3
Using the operating system search system or file manager, find and delete the following files: windivx.dll, vipextqtr.dll, stream32a.dll, ecxwp.dll. Alternatively, you can simply rename these files by naming them bad1.dll, bad2.dll, etc. If you cannot rename the files, do so by restarting your operating system in safe mode.
Step 4
Open the "C: / Program Files" folder, find and delete the "VirusProtect 3.8" folder in it. If the folder cannot be deleted, restart your computer in Safe Mode and try again. You can also use special programs such as Unlocker to remove non-removable folders and files. Reboot your computer.
Step 5
To prevent the Win32 virus from infecting your computer in the future, install a licensed anti-virus protection program and regularly update its database. So you protect your computer not only from this virus, but also from more malicious programs, for example, stealing passwords, personal data, etc.
