Clans often have bright names and unique symbols. Therefore, in many games, clan leaders are given the opportunity to download an icon that identifies clan members in the game. You can create a clan icon by composing images in a graphical editor.

Instructions
Step 1
Highlight possible symbols based on the analysis of the characteristics of the clan. Identify the characteristics and characteristics of your clan. Determine the current priority area for the community. Identify and fix the images that are associated with the named features. For example, the images corresponding to a PVP-oriented clan can be a shield, sword, spear, metal helmet. The image of a mono-racial clan can be the face of a prominent representative of the race, and the image of a farm clan can be a coin, a bag of gold, an image of a valuable resource.

Highlight the symbology based on the analysis of the clan name. Often a name denotes an object and speaks for itself. In this case, the search for associations may not be needed. If this is not the case, come up with several synonyms for the name in Russian or English, find vivid images corresponding to them.

Search for images that match the identified clan symbols. Take advantage of free image galleries such as sxc.hu, photl.com. Download the image files to your computer disk. Find several images for each symbolic image.

Develop a prototype for the clan icon design. Analyze the uploaded images. Reveal bright elements on them that could be successfully combined to create a beautiful collage. Sketch some sketchy icon design layouts on a piece of paper. Experiment with the location and size of objects. Select the best sketches.

Create a larger image of the clan icon. Start the graphics editor. Load the images into it, the elements of which will be used in creating the icon. Cut out these elements and place them in separate documents. Create a new document with a resolution proportional to the required icon resolution. For example, if you need to design an icon with a resolution of 16x16 pixels, then you can create a square image with a side of 320 pixels. Fill the entire area of the image with the main background color. Combine the images of the clan symbols according to the sketch developed earlier. Use scaling tools to resize images. Compose your pictures carefully using a quick mask and eraser tools to create semi-transparent areas and remove arbitrary elements.

Save the icon layout to disk. To save, select the "native" format of the graphics editor. This is necessary in order to subsequently be able to return to editing.
