Instructions
Step 1
To change settings for items such as brightness or contrast, calibrate the monitor color. Also, it is possible to configure other parameters of displaying colors of the monitor. Each monitor model has this setting. Even monitors from the same company may differ in these settings.
Step 2
The brightness and contrast buttons are most often located on the front (front) panel of the monitor. However, some monitor manufacturers place these buttons on the side panels.
Step 3
In the monitor settings, simple navigation through the elements of the on-screen menu is used. It allows you to change the contrast and brightness settings. In order to open the OSD menu and change the required parameters, you need to press the "Menu" (Menu) button on the front panel of the monitor. To increase monitor brightness, press the up arrow key. To decrease this value, respectively, press the key with the image of an arrow tending downward.
Step 4
There is no way to position these buttons on laptop screens. Therefore, in the settings of a large number of all manufactured laptops there is no such element as contrast control, but it is possible to adjust the brightness of the monitor. The function key Fn is used for this. In order to adjust the brightness value in a laptop, you need to hold down the Fn keys and the function key to decrease or increase the brightness. As a rule, these keys are supplied with a picture of a full sun or an empty one.
