An old computer often turns out to be unnecessary after buying a new one, so the owners of the device are looking for options where they can sell the equipment. A PC of even a very outdated model is quite feasible with a small profit.
Instructions
Step 1
Find computer stores that accept old computers in exchange for new ones. This usually gives you a big discount when you buy new hardware, and this is a good opportunity to upgrade your computer if you haven't already. In addition, some stores even buy computers for parts and subsequently sell them through used catalogs.
Step 2
Offer your computer to a service center or workshop. Employees of the company will inspect it, and if they deem it suitable for use in their work (for example, repairing other computers of the same brand, replacing their components, etc.), they will purchase it from you for a certain amount, which often turns out to be small.
Step 3
Place an advertisement for the sale of a computer in newspapers, on special sites. You can post it on social networks or post it around the city in paper form. If the computer is in good condition and you quote the right price, over time there will be buyers to whom you can sell the device for cash.
Step 4
Sell the device to your friends, family or just acquaintances. Perhaps one of them urgently needs a computer, and its novelty does not matter. If there are still no buyers, a pretty good gift can be made from a PC.
Step 5
Try to sell your computer as separate components. Spare parts can find their customers even faster than the entire device as a whole, since various computer components often fail and require urgent replacement. Look for a buyer for them in the same way as in the steps above.
Step 6
Contact schools, universities, circles and sections, libraries in your city. Computer equipment in some institutions is rather scarce, and the administration can redeem your computer for a certain amount. However, it is better to donate the computer to the children to help them in their studies.
