How annoying it is sometimes to make a stupid mistake or an accidental typo in a message. And if you are in business correspondence with a work colleague or client, such mistakes can even cost you your reputation. So that you don't have to write an additional post with a bug fix or an excuse, Skype provides the ability to quickly edit messages.
Step 2
Find the post that needs revision. Click on the text with the right mouse button. In the drop-down menu, select the "Edit message" item. By the way, if necessary, you can erase the message completely by selecting the "Delete message" item.

In the field for entering messages, you will see the text of the selected message. A yellowish background appears below it. This is a kind of signal that you are in editing mode. Now you just need to make the necessary edits and click the Submit button again. The message will be displayed in the same place, under the same date, but with the changes made.

If you suddenly change your mind to edit the message for some reason, you can immediately press Enter (or Ctrl + Enter) to send the message without making any edits, or by right-clicking, select “Cancel” from the drop-down menu.
