It often happens that you need to move files from one disk partition to another, for example, if you are going to reinstall the system, or simply this section of the hard disk has run out of free space. You can use an easy way to move files from one disk to another using the usual Explorer and using the Total Commander program.

Step 1
Moving a file from to disk using Explorer. Open the "My Computer" section and check the amount of free space on your drives. To do this, select the drive and look at the menu on the left.
Step 2
Decide on the disk and the place on it where you want to move the file and open it in a new window.
Step 3
Select the files that you want to transfer to another drive. If there are several files in different places in the folder, use the Ctrl key. Hook the selected files with the right mouse button and drag them to the window of another disk. When you release the key, the menu appears. In it, select "Move".
Step 4
The files will start moving to disk.
Step 5
Moving files using the file manager Total Commander. Run the program and open in two program windows the section to which and from which you want to move the file.
Step 6
Select the file to be moved. If there are several of them, use the Ctrl key. The files to be highlighted will be highlighted in pink. To deselect the file, use the right mouse button. Press the F6 key.
Step 7
Check the box next to "Copy NTFS permissions" and click OK. Moving starts.
