Two subwoofers, when properly set up, can provide higher signal strength as well as correct room impacts on sound quality. When installing, you can experiment with their placement and get the best fit.
Necessary
- - subwoofers;
- - cable;
- - amplifier;
- - acoustic system.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the optimal placement of your subwoofers in your room. For example, place them close to each other, or place them in the two front corners of the room. In problem areas, you can place them on opposite walls.
Step 2
In addition, by setting up two subwoofers, you can minimize sound localization, i.e. when the listener can determine the location of the low-frequency sound source. Placing the sub in a corner of the room will produce a louder sound and more bass sound near a wall.
Step 3
Also consider the specifics of your speaker system. When connecting two subwoofers, the question comes down to the fact that each subwoofer must be connected to one of the amplifier channels. True, in modern Hi-Fi systems, this method of connection is quite rare.
Step 4
Think over the location, estimate the distance and connect the subs - for this take a long and thick speaker cable. Use it to connect a subwoofer to an amplifier. This will reduce the load on the sound system in the low sound range.
Step 5
Connect the sub in a different way - to do this, connect it to the outputs with the connected wires of the speaker system. Then the system and subwoofer will work together in the low frequency range.
Step 6
Connect a second subwoofer to the system - connect it in parallel with the first to each of the amplifier channels. This way you can increase the impact of the system. Do not install them "tightly" in one place. Turn them on first, or simply install in the intended location.
Step 7
Then start playing music with bass, find the place where the pressure will be maximum and the sound will be the lowest. This way you can find the optimal location and connect two subwoofers.
